Does Unresponsiveness With All Tests Being Clear Mean Brain Death?

Good Morning, my dad is 85 years of age he has had all types of testing done and everything has come back fine, no sign of stroke of cancer. His breathing is fine but he unresponsive when we communicate with him, I took him to the doctor yesterday and he stated that he had shrinkage. Is it possible he could be brain dead?

HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

IF he is breathing then it is definitely not brain death. Something must have affected his consciousness and hence he is unresponsive. The cause might be related to brain or related to other organs like liver , kidney or heart.

If you can let me know the test reports I can try to find out the cause of his problem .

Hope you find this information useful.
Any clarifications or Queries feel free to ask.
