Hello, I have been on tri-cyclin lo for about a year now. I m suppose to be getting my period this week (usually starts on wednesday) but because I have prom friday, I was wondering if there is a way to delay my period a week? I ve heard of different ways to skip or delay it and how people have got break through bleeding . Has anyone succesfully achieved this? Thanks for the help!
can't you just carry onto another pill packet? this will stop you having your monthly cycle however regardless of what contraceptive pill you take if you are wanting to delay your period my advise is to carry on taking the next pill packet without having a usual 7 day break, Although don't use this method constantly it will most definately 1. mess up your regular cycle. 2. could cause problems in the long term.
HI,
Thanks for query,
As you are on oral contraceptive, after completion of one packet, without break you start new packet of tri-cyclin,for about a week and your period will be delayed for a week.
Mind well your date of your period will be new one.
ok and bye.
