Hello and welcome,

The signs and symptoms you prescribe suggestive depressive disorder due to hypothyroidism.
Patients with underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) are prone to depression and with hyperthyroidism predisposed to develop depression and anxiety . Vise versa depression may also cause mild thyroid changes but overt thyroid problem is very rare in depression. Your depression is highly likely caused by thyroid problem and it is reversible with normalization of thyroid function.
Is TSH - 7 mIU/L is you test value? Normal TSH is 0.5 to 5.0 mIU/L (if you are on thyroid medications normal TSH value is 0.5-3.0). If your TSH is 7 mIU/L, it shows hypothyroidism. You should continue taking levothyroxine as prescribed by your doctor. The dose should be individualized and your doctor should adjust the dose on the basis of clinical response and biochemical tests (tyroxine and TSH should be monitored every 6-8 weeks). With the normalization of thyroid hormones in the body your depression should also gets cured.

I hope I have answered your question. Please, feel free to ask me if there is anything else you need to know.

Thank you,
Malik Amonov MD
