Does This Blood Report Signify Liver Damage?

Bloodwork shows elevated WBD at 16, Neutrophils at 12000, Monocytes at 1008 and Eosinphils at 512. What can that signify? Can this be as simple as a sinus infection, or, given that he has been on powerful pain medications for several years, can this signify liver damage?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
No this blood report is not indicative of liver damage in you. Your white blood cells are elevated in blood. Absolute count indicate mainly your neutrophils are elevated in number. Neutrophils are almost double than their upper normal limit. This indicate recent pyogenic or bacterial infection in you. Which could be any infection in whole body.
Your Eosinophils are also slightly elevated in numbers. These are elevated in allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, severe allergic reaction& parasitic infections. Your monocytes are also slightly increased in blood. Theses are found in Infections such as tuberculosis, brucellosis, listeriosis, subacute bacterial endocarditis, syphilis, protozoal infection, etc.

However all these findings are not related to liverdamage. Liver function is checked by liver function tests ( SGOT,SGPT, AST etc).

Refer to your Physician
Hope this information helps
