Thank you for posting in HMC, hey jackie, first and foremost i would like to know if your breast feeding your baby. Because if your breast feeding combined oral pills are not given. femiplan i assume is an oral contraceptive pill which contains both estrogen and progesterone. was this prescribed by your doctor ? progesterone only pills are the safest and best to be had during lactation. also as the next option you can have intramuscular depo injection and progesterone implants. women start ovulating within 3-6 months after delivery if proper breast feeding is done, if not ovulation occurs earlier. this is the best time to start contraception. also you can have intercourse now (4-6 weeks after delivery).
