Hi thanks for contacting HCM... ESR and CRP are non specific marker that are elevated in any chronic inflammation , infection or malignancy ..... Elevated ESR not specific for TB .... Here as chest x ray clear chance of TB less. Although montux test positive it is not for TB diagnosis ,it is for checking immunity against TB.... For rule out TB do your sputum afb microscopic examination and sputum culture..... Detail physical examination done to look for causes.... Vasculitis also has to be ruled out biopsy.... Preliminary investigate with CBC , LFT , RFT .... Consult physician with keeping these in mind ... Take care.
