Does Tenderness And Heaviness In The Breast Indicate Menopause?

my breast have become tender and heavier feeling this past month and the nipples seem a little larger also. I am wondering if this is a symptom of menopause as I have missed my period? I am 48yrs old and my husband had a vasectomy 19 years ago so I don t think I could be pregnant/

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

In absence of pregnancy, your symptoms can be due to PMS- premenstrual syndrome.
Menopause should not cause the breast discomfort as described by you.

I will suggest you to opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen.
Start on Long acting form of vitamin B 6,B12 and Folic acid and vitamin E and Evening Primrose oil supplements regularly for at least 3 months.
If you do not get your periods for 6 months or so, then it can be considered as menopause.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
