Does Taking Ovral To Regularize Periods Prevents Pregnancy?
I had an abortion 3yrs back.....after that I inserted a copper t am periods and all over normal....once I removed the copper t after 3yrs the next month my periods got delayed plus it only bleed for two days..I consulted doc he asked me to take ovral l for 3months to regularize my periods...am scared when I heard its a contraceptive pill and it prevents pregnancy m sacred weather I'll able to conviece in future with this medication? Plus I completed one month course of ovral l for 21days and got my periods exactly on 5day; again it blessed for 1st day normally and 2nd day bleeding stopped...I consult the doc again now he asked me to take ovral g....am really scared is all these medication are good? Will I get pregnant in future?

Hello
After abortion for irregular and scanty bleeding you took OVRAL-L ( levonorgestrel+ethinyl estradiol) for one month .
Your menses became regular , but again scanty menses .
Now your doctor advised OVRAL -G ( NORGESTREL + ETHINYL ESTRADIOL).
As these both drugs are oral contraceptive but also used in few diseases for regulation of bleeding as in PCOD .
So don't scare rather take this drug for 3-4 months .
Once menses become regular consult your doctor for further treatment and conception .
The prime importance is to regulate bleeding and your doctor is doing it .
