Hi Dear Welcome to the HCM, Your child is probably having seizures because of fever (febrile convulsions). Usually they stop occurring after the age 5 to 8 years and they do not cause much deleterious sequalae. It requires to be control the fever efficiently either by vigorous or proper effective dose of antpyretics like paracetamol etc. If the febrile seizures are recurrent then the child should be investigated to rule out any pathology in the brain and accordingly to be treated with anticonvulsant medicine if indicated. Frisium is usually indicated with proven cases of epilepsy. Ocassionally it can be used for prevention of febrile convulsions by the frisium if the convulsions are quite frequent. Side effects are not much worrisome except the drowsiness. Hope the query is answered. Thanks
