Does Taking Susten SR 200 Cause Masculinisation Of Female Foetus?
Hi, am 7 weeks pregnant and CRL is only 4.6. hence doctor has advised me to take Susten SR 200 for 30 days. I read that this might cause masculinisation of female foetus. is that true? this is my second pregnancy and i dint have any risk in my first. Why am i given Susten, will it harm the baby and what is masculinisation of female foetus ?

I understand your concern.. CRL is low for 7 weeks. Is there bleeding, Progesterone or susten SR helps in maintaining pregnancy. Yes, 1 in 100 cases it can cause virilisation of female fetus. But its not common. Considering its advantages, its advisable to take it. Repeat scan after 2 weeks to see for fetal growth and cardiac activity. If growth is still poor or absent cardiac activity, the pregnancy have to be terminated. It growth+, continue progesterone for a month. Hope I have answered your query.. good day.
