Does Taking HSG Test Delay Periods?

Hi,I want to know that my largest follicle size is 1.1 x 0.8 cm in right ovary ad 0.9 x 0.9 cm in left ovary.My last periods was on 19 Aug and i did hsg test on 27 Aug. Now i am 7 days late for period but not any symptoms of preg . My cycle is always came on time (28-30).Could i be pregnant or my periods are effected by HSG test? Please reply soon

Thanks for posting your query. Hysterosalpingogram does not delay a natural period. However, the stress associated with the procedure can delay the period. You did not mention when was the follicular study done and if it was followed to detect ovulation. As you are late for your period, I would ask you to go for a home pregnancy test now using a fresh early morning sample of urine. This should be followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the status of the pelvic organs. If negative for pregnancy, you can be prescribed medication to induce a period.
