Does Stopping Depo Birth Control Shots Affect Immunity?

Hello, I recently stopped taking my depo birth control shots I was due for another shot in November. I ve noticed I ve been getting sick every other week which isn t normal for me I spoke with a pharmacist, she told me getting of the depo effects your body. That most women will experince withdrawns. I was wondering would a low immune system be one of them. I m a relatively healthy 22 year old I take vitamins everymoring, I don t smoke or drink, I workout 3 days a week and eat pretty healthy.

Hi
I had gone through the question and understand your concern.
Depot injection does affect the hormonal balance of the body , but it does not affect one's immunity.
If you are recurrent infections then you should get blood investigations done like complete blood count , total leucocyte count.
Hope this was of help.
Let me know if you have other queries.
Thank you.
