Does Smoking Prior A Blood Test Affect The Test Results?

i have to take a blood test today and i was wondering if smokin pot the night before will effect the test. They are testing for basic things only like cholesterol...tryglicorides and a few other things. Also can i chew gum before i go in and get blood work dne.

No as such smoking definitly does not affect the results of the said test acutly.
But in chronic course smoking surely have the cumulative deteriorative effects on the said profile.
It means results you are getteing after smoking cigarette will be the same if you would have not smoked just before.
But if you are chronic smoker it will definitly have the effects on blood profile as smoking increases the levels of cholesterol & other lipids ( triglycerides & LDL) & decrease the levels of the protective lipids in blood.
Also it changes the properties of HB in the blood.
So over all smoking only has the negative effects on blood prfile as well as on your lungs & body.
So better to quit Smoking not just for test sake but for good health too !
