Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have acid reflux , dry throat along with difficulty in swallowing and dryness in throat . Well smoking known to cause acid reflux . Tobacco, is thought to relax the ring of muscle in the lower esophagus that keeps acid in the stomach , which cause the acidic content of stomach to come upward and cause acid reflux . Moreover dryness , difficulty in swallowing and sore throat also probably caused by acid reflux . There is nothing to panic quitting smoking , medicines and slight change in life style give relief . I would suggest you to immediately quit smoking , avoid eating spicy and heavy food specially at night , eat light and frequent meals and take light walk after every meal . Consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test like swab test and endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe medicines like proton pump inhibitor and H2 blocker.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
