Does Smear Test Finding Of Abnormal Cells And Blood In Urine Indicate Cancer?

Hi...My daughter is 20 and has blood in her urine. Today her smear test results came back abnormal cells detectected. Both my parents died young of cancer and I am not prepared to take any risks with my daughter. (like waiting six months for another smear test) Should I be right in worrying?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
She has abnormal cell in pap smear test. But it can be due to inflammtory atypia. Blood in urine may be due to urinary tract infection. At age of 20 chances of cancer is very rare. SO don't worry much about that.
If you don't want to wait for 6 months for other smear then go for cervical biopsy. It will clear all doubts. Then take treatment accordingly.
