Does Removal Of Both Falopian Tubes Cause Severely Painful Menstruation?

Had both tubes removed due to an ectopic that ruptured on 12-28-2016. This is my first cycle and the cramping is severe enough to make me teary eyed and confined to couch.. Never experienced this pain during cycles before.. Is it normal?. Iam 31 years old and have been menstrating since I was 12 years old with 4 healthy babies via c section..

Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. I have gone through your query and would like to offer you some suggestions. It is often noticed that the menstrual pattern alters to some extent with painful menstruation after tubectomy. This is not related to a hormone pattern and possibly a postoperative result as the severed tubes heal. You may find relief by using an uterine antispasmodic medication. Since this is the first cycle postoperatively, I suggest that you report to your consultant for a review. Hope this helps.
