Does Provera Cause Severe Cramping?
Does provera cause severe cramping? My obgyn prescribed provera, 2.5 mg for 5 days to induce my period. My last period was Nov 28, 2012. Its currently 2 months late. I m 3 days into the pill and I m experiencing SEVERE cramps . I m taking Midol ibuprofen and its only helping a little. I m very worried about this level of pain. Please advise. Thank you!

yes , provera can cause abdominal cramping, as side effect.
I recommend you to take butyscopolamin or spazmex and continue using Ibuprofen,
If you still have sever cramps please contact your OB-GYN
