Does poliomyelitis lead to infertility in men?

I had polio in 1951 at age 4. I have also been highly sexually active since. Most of these encounters involved unprotected intercourse whether with condoms or the pill. I have never gotten a woman pregnant. Can my experience with polio (which was significant, e.g., my spine is fused T1 through L2) have left me sterile?

Hello welcome to the health care magic

The chances of getting pregnant high is around ovulation time , so you might had not intercourse at ovulation time.

You are not suffering from erectile dysfunction Hence sterility seems less likely.

But still check your semen analysis report for that.

Before providing semen sample to laboratory, three day sexual abstinence needed

Take care

Hope this will help you

I recently began dating a very handsome man. Everything has been going wonderful and on our third date he mentioned to me he was an xxy male. He told me basically he is just infertile. I had no idea what xxy was and we continued to have a great evening. I began researching it that evening and it seems the internet has a broad description of xxy status. He is tall but not fat or any of the other negative things mentioned in description of someone with xxy. We live in Vail, Colorado and he has a very fit body for all the activites people do here. I am just wondering other than the infertile part what things I should be prepared for if we continue dating.
