Does Pinworm Cause Anal Itching?

Hello! Bit of an embarrassing problem here! I started having anal itching a few days ago. I m a teacher of young children. I assumed it was thrush and the chemist gave me some cream, however she also told me about the possibility pinworms. I m still itchy but it has subsided somewhat. I ve been a little concerned about it being pinworms though. I ve been checking daily and have said to see any worms, but when I looked at my stool this morning I did see some white rice . I m now very confused as to what this is! Any help would be appreciated!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the common cause anal pruritus is the pin worm so this needs to be ruled out first and treated then comes the fungal infection and other condition but first it has to be rule out for worm infestation, better to see the doctor and send the stool for testing hope this information helps.
