Does Pcos Have Effect In Getting Pregnant?

Hi, i am 31 yrs old. I am suffering from PCOS. We are planning for a baby. On visiting the doctor she advised me to have Tab. Fertyl 50 mg for more fertility. But i got my periods this month a day before. My doctor had advise me to take the tablet from the second day of my period but i forgot and had the tablet from 4th day. Is this could be the problem for me not conceiving? What is the correct date to start taking the tablet.

Hello,
Usually Clomiphene is used from day 2 of the cycle, but, it can also be used from day 5. This does not make much of a difference. The timing of intercourse according to ovulation as observed through follicular studies, basal body temperature charts is most important. Also, successful ovulation can take sometime and may need stepping up of Clomiphene doses. If you had a period after Clomiphene, it is more likely that you ovulated and this, indeed, is a good sign. Hope this helps.
