Does Pancreatitis Cause Nausea And Headaches?

Hello. Last summer I had acute Pancreatitis. Symptoms were vomitting and pain. I have recovered, however recently I have been experiencing nausea and mild headaches for days at a time. Could this be related to the pancreas and what should I do? I also seem to have sensitivity to smells which contribute to the nausea. The cause of the pancreatitis was not diagnosed, no gall stones, was not a heavy drinker, however, drs. recommended that I cease drinking altogether, which I have.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you already had acute pancreatitis 1 week back, we should definitely rule out recurrence of pancreatitis for your current symptoms, nausea and headache.
So get done serum amylase and lipase first.
If they are normal then no need to worry for acute pancreatitis.
Sometimes acute gastritis can also cause similar symptoms.
So take pantoprazole and domperidone tablet. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
