Does Painful Lymph Node In Right Groin Indicate Herpes?
I recently had a blood test and vaginal exam for STDs and everything was negative. I have had no lesions and have been with the same guy for 4 months. Yesterday I noticed a large painful lymph node in my right groin. Maybe some slight pain in my left. No injury to my legs. No other symptoms. Herpes is my primary concern since they didn t test for that.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful lymph node in right groin. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query swollen lymph gland , hernia , sexually transmitted infections or saphena varix. I would suggest you to wear loose cloths , keep that area clean , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and dry and apply warm compresses . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may examine physically or take sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe anti viral or anti bacterial depending upon the diagnosis along with anti inflammatory and corticosteroid ointment .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
