Does Pain In The Right Abdominal Area Indicate Appendicitis?
I have pain in my lower right abdominal area, but I don't have all the signs of apendicitis. I have been having this pain on and off for months? it's a dull pain last on and off for a couple of days. do you think it may be related to not enough fluids. I try to drink 2 lites of water a day but some days don't get anywere near that. I exercise regularly as I am in the fitness industry and I eat well. should I go and see my doctor?
Hello The pain in the right lower abdomen may be due to these possibilities , these include: 1 Amoebic colitis , as this pain is not so sharp and off & on , so may be due to amoebic colitis . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a physician and also stool examination. 2 Right renal calculus is the 2nd most common cause of such pain . Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of both kidneys . 3 Urinary tract infection . Get in urine culture . However, there are so many other possibilities of such pain ( off & on , dull pain ) as muscle strain due to gym ( fitness ) , chronic appendicitis , worm infestation , indigestion. Fluid intake is not related to this pain . I recommend you visit a physician and get his opinion as physical examination is important. Good luck.
