Microgynon acts a contraceptive method to prevent unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses. Oral contraceptive pills usually contain as well as secret progesterone and this progesterone can cause depressive effects on mood which may be enhanced for those on hormonal oral contraceptive pills. Patients with depression are more prone to have poor sleeps, lack of desire for daily normal activities, loss of interest to lead a decent life style, lack of taking daily balanced diets producing a sleep disrupting cycle.
