Does Metoprolol Cause Any Side Effects?

before 5 days my heartbeat got increased i took an ECG and echo of heart . thing doctor find is tachycardia.no prob in echo. he prescribed me metoprolol succinate ER 25mg . and my blood glucose(R) level was 196. but after taking the medicine i was affected by desiness and short breath. i m 28yrs.

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to metoprolol adverse effects.

This is a beta blocker and it can lower your physical performance and also cause some shortness of breath in susceptible persons.

I recommend you to check your heart rate too, because it can lead to low heart rate.
