Does Menopause Cause Debilitating Conditions In A 62-year Old Woman?

MY wife is 62 years old and she does not have much energy and only wants to watch tv and read she has lost all desire to want to do anything! I am very worried.she was a long term smoker and she quit about 3-months a go. What can I do to help? is menopause a likely issue?

You are rigth! Menopause can cause hormonal changes and thus cause mood swings and depressive episodes.

If loss of interest on surroundings is only issue, don't worry about it, talk to her, and counsel her with the help of Psychotherapist

But, if she has other problems like bone pains, depression, consult a doctor to ask about Harmone replacement therapy.
