Recently there are studies done to suggest that even males have reproductive cycles like females. And something called as Andropause is heard here and there but not authenticated yet.

I am a 50 yr old woman, who has just entered the menopause phase of life. About 5-6 months ago, I began to notice hair thinning, almost like male-pattern baldness. Ob/gyn ran blood tests; hormone levels are normal with testosterone level @2.7, i think within normal range. Just recently, I have noticed more thinning and several corkscrew-type hairs popping out. Doc put me on Estrace 0.01% Cream, 3x week. That has certainly taken care of the hotflashes and horrific mood swings. The only thing that has changed medicinally, is my internist put me on Vicoprofen, 200/7.5 for migraines and arthritis. My concern is my hair loss. At this rate, I will be bald in a year! Any suggestions?

Does this sound like something to do with testosterone levels?

I am 48 years old female. I have a round flat smooth mole the size of small pea on the right inside thigh. It is light brown in colour with a very small white dot in the centre. It has no worrying symptoms or any signs of change. My concern is that it just appeared overnight. I have started menopause . Could the mole just be a change in hormones?
