Does Lupus Causes Short Term Memory Loss?
Im a 45 yr old woman and I was diagnosed with Lupus and it affects all of my major organs...I have found that my recall of short term memory is increasingly getting worse, I have trouble recalling words to express myself, my words come out jumbled or out of order sometimes. What test would you suggest?

There is no specific test to determine short term memory loss in mini mental state exam can be performed to evaluate for other causes. Hypothyroidism and Vitamin B12 deficiency should be looked for. Lupus directly doesn't affect short term memory nor causes dementia.
