Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Well, causality is a tricky one, BUT many antiepileptics are associated with birth defects. Any treatment of cancer that is involving drugs that kill growing cells is about the worst drugs for birth defects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
