Does Keratoconus Require Permanent Use Of Rigid Contact Lens?

Hi Doctor,
I have keratoconus and currently using rigid contact lences.I just wanted to know whether i will be on contacts lenses forever or my eyesight will improve with time.

Also, is ther a specific diet to help inprove my eyesight and help cure keratoconus?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having keratoconus.
Keratoconus will cause thinning of cornea resulting in myopic astigmatism.
The treatment is by use of contact lenses to correct astigmatism.
The specific treatment for keratoconus is by corneal collagen cross linking to arrest the progression of keratoconus.
Hence I advice you yo consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
