hi I am pretty certain I have had pinworms for a few months. I had no idea it even was a concern. I suffered from hemorrhoids after my surgery (Heller myotomy with a partial fundoplication for achalasia) so I thought it was just that. i get that tingle itch on my rectum at night. I have never seen one on my sheets or my panties. I was not concerned until we recently got a new puppy which was full of roundworms and I started doing research. The puppy is being treated for roundworms by the vet and I have taken a 2 1/2 tsp reese s pinworm medication dose. I have only defecated once but after words my mother said she saw one move still inside my rectum. I m concerned if I don t poop they wont come out and I can still fell them. Should I go to the doctors? Is there something I can take or eat to help? ( I am not a daily pooper because of my achalasia digestion issue) Should I take more of the medication? I am washing my hands like an OCD person, cleaning everything with disinfectant, and washing blankets and towels in hot water now, and I have taken a micro bacterial shower (hibcleanse). I am just lost on what to do and questioning if this will go away or get worse? Is having the puppy with roundworms around going to make it worse?
