Does It Necessary To Have Knee Replacement Surgery?

I ve been told by my Rheumatologist, that I have to have knee replacement surgery on both knees BEFORE I can have any surgery on my back (lumbar and lower sacrum). I have degenera- tive spine problems. Currently I can not straighten my left leg out, as my knee is so huge and is killing me. The right isn t as bad, but believe me, it s not pain free. I am a 62 year old caucasin woman about 5 6 , 190 lbs. (down from a high of over 300#)I also have been diagnosed w/ coronary heart disease in April this year, fibromyalgia, Lupus, Sjogrens and a few others What s your opinion? Thank you in advance for your advice. hurts too.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You definitely have to go for knee replacement surgery as there is no other options left, avoid corona time and get it done once corona pandemic is over.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
