Does Intake Of Emergency Contraceptive Pill Cause Delayed Periods?

Hi I am India. My girlfriend and I have a unprotected sexual intercourse on 27 Sep on this day she was on 3rd day of her periods. I am sure that i have not ejculated inside her but taking precaution she took an ipill after 4 hours after the sexual intercourse. and on 2 Oct. She had some bleeding for couple of minutes. But now she missed her periods. Her regular time date was on 25. But she doesn t got it. Please help us what will be the reason behind that. Is it side effect of i pill.

Hello,

Slight menstrual irregularities can happen with hormonal pills. Generally, it will settle by itself. If symptoms persist you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.
