Does Intake Of Plavix And Warfarin Cause Depression And Nervousness?
I am taking Plavix and warfarin per my doctor. I have not been on the two for a very long time. But for the last few months I have had the most time with depression, nervousness, and I don t sleep well. I have black and blue marks all over my body and few day ago I got a black and blue mark of about 6 in by 3 in. My nose was bleeding for about a four days until they lowered my warfarin. I take 2.5 warfarin a day and 75 Mg of Clopidogrel (Plavix). I never had any feelings like this before. Could this have any thing to do with the Meds or am I going crazy?
I would not say that you are going crazy, but these are not usual side effects of Plavix or warfarin, so I would suspect something else is going on. I would definitely recommend talking to your doctor about this so that the cause can be looked for, and maybe start you on medication to help with these symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
