Does Intake Of Nordette Cause Irregular Menstruation?

Hi, the first time i took nordette as ecp was 7mos ago. Then last june 20 2016 condom broke and i decide to take ecp again for the second time. Luckily i had my period on time last June 28. But i was wondering now and scared because i am already 2days delayed this month of JULY. I decided to have a pregnancy test but it turned out NEGATIVE. What would i do? Is it true that nordette as ecp dose can confuse my cycle? i have read it in one of the article. Pls reply thankyou.

Nordette could be used as an emergency contraceptive and very effective when taken within the right delay.Among its side effects, missed period and delayed menstruation have been described.However, its efficiency is not 100% but close to.A negative pregnancy test after a missed period excludes pregnancy.Since you never had irregular menses before, the most probable cause of your delay is Nordette.I will advise you stay calm and wait for it.If it doesn't come, run another pregnancy test in 1-2 weeks to make be sure the first test was never a false negative result.If the test is still negative, wait for your menses.If your menses delay more than a month with a negative pregnancy test, see a Gynecologist for investigation.
