I have been taking mirtazapine for a few years. I am dangerously overweight 110KG height 162cm have difficulty walking because of lower back pain and very short of breath. My whole body feels still and aching. Could this medication have anything to do with this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
dear friend
none of the effects you have talked about are actually the side effect of the medication you are taking
the symptoms are more because of your gross over weight.
you seriously need to consider reducing weight for a better quality of life.
are there any more associated illnesses please let us know
and please discuss the modalities of weight reduction with a bariatric physician and dietitian to start with.
you can also consider surgical options as your BMI is 41.91 that is making you morbidly obese
I find this answer helpful
