Does Intake Of Folic Acid Tablets Help In Conceiving?

hi, good evening, please I have been using folic acid 5mg instead of 400mg, and am trying to conceive, never knew it will have advearse effect on me, beacause I kept having stomach cramps, please am I at risk now, because I was unable to get pregnant last month. stopped using it for he past two days when I noticed it, please hope there wont be anything wrong me

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Folic acid intake doesnot increase the chances of you concieving. But is given to replenish the body stores of folic acid for pregnancy prepration. In pregnancy the body requirement of folic acid increases, so that could cause folic acid deficency.
However if folic acid is causing gastric upset, you should change it by consulting your doctor


Refer to your gynaecologist
