Does Intake Of Ciprofloxacin Help In Treating Hay Fever?

I had really bad hay fever kick in about 6 days, a lot of pressure in the sinuses, a lot of drainage, moderate cough, 3 days later, started to notice more frequent urinating, more difficulty holding it and less control. Continued to worsen with more frequency of urinating and half the volumes. By Monday morning, yesterday, starting having a lot of discomfort and constant diarrhea. By Tuesday afternoon, starting having burning sensations with infrequent painful spurts, went to my family physician and while it was not visual, the testing of the urine showed blood. Also results were very mild infection. Prescribed 10 days of Cipro.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Hay fever is generally an allergic reaction. That would be treated with an antihistaminic. Your other symptoms are suggestive of a urinary tract infection. Ciprofloxacin will help with the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
