Does Intake Of Benadryl Help In Treating Insomnia?

I have severe sinusitis and was just prescribed MethylPrednisolone. I will start in the AM. I should not have read the reviews. Said most people have side effects. I am 68 yrs. old. I take synthroid and Luvox for Depression. And would it be alright to take a Benadryl to help with the insomnia? The last sinus Infection was treated with a 2 nd dose of antibiotics and didn t feel it had completely cure the infection! Thank you for your input.

Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
Sinusitis is treated with..
- anti alletgic decongestant pills with antibiotics as per need.
-vapor inhalation helps in relueving symptoms.
-avoid exposure to allergens to prevent recurrance
-short term steroids in tappering dose helps in chronic infection...long term use to be done j under experts care .only.
-allergy screening test .. followed specifictreatment by allergy specialist /change in life style ...would help to get rid od the problem.
