a patient was admitted to the hospital with a heart attack and also hypertension , both of which required monitoring during the inpatient stay. The hypertension would be considered a. principle diagnosis b. a complication c. a comorbidity d. the principle procedure ?

His speah is very bad and has major weakness on the left side. Can t walk. Is there any way to determine the cause of the brain bleed? They did the cat scan and mri but I don t want to do another LP. He has had about 8 and we were able to use the ommya twice then he had a seizure and we stopped. Do you think he has mm in his brain

Hi, doctor. I m writing on behalf of my elderly mother who doesn t know how to write. She has been experiencing intermittent palpitations that occur sometimes after she eats or in the middle of the night when she is asleep. They are so alarming that she awakens. She takes her blood pressure measurement when this happens and usually her pulse is elevated. The longest episode has been approx. 4 hours. Her medical history is: high blood pressure, tachycardia, thyroid, osteoarthritis and some stomach problems. She takes medication for all. The palpitations frighten her and she wants to know if they are serious to her health or if they will increase her chances of heart attack or stroke. All her medical tests are normal. I have limited information as I don t live with my mother. Thank you in advance.
I have a diagonal crease on my right ear lobe and have had for at least 20 years (if not more). I am a 44 year old woman and take statins for cholesterol (purely preventative measure). My father (who was a GP) died at 61 years old with a sudden stroke and my GP said my cholesterol was at the high side of normal and that statins would be a good measure. I do not have blood pressure. Is this crease a definite indicator of heart disease? Many thanks. RJ
