i recently had a parathyroidectomy due to hpth and hypercalcemia

, could that condition have caused cortical thinning of my kidney?age 62 female hx of hpt 5ft. 3in. 167lbs hypothyroidism, hx of I&D pyelonephritis 1977. my cr. & Bun have always been wnl

now you have undergone parathyroidectomy, hypercalcemea should not occur. rather you will be prone to develop hypocalcemea. cortical thinning can be due to various causes, but it generally indicates chronic kidney disease.
