Does Hip Replacement Surgery Cause Tenderness In Bursitis?
I had a hip replacement on 11/15/2013 and there are days that my hip swells and hurts. I am a normal weight, work everyday and am active outside and exercise. My orthopedic surgeon today said my bursitis was tender and probably due to surgery - I will continue exercising and hopefully by the time a year is up it will be better....is this normal?
There should be radiological confirmation for selling in the hip and if your ortho doc has examined and found bursitis around hip then it may be treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds-if doesn't subside then excisionof bursa may be indicated-please follow up with your ortho doc.
