Does High White Blood Cell Count In Urine Cause Preterm Labor?

pregnant my doctor keeps telling me I have a high white blood cell count in my urine but has yet to put me on an antibiotic. I am 33 weeks pregnant with my 4th child, I have never had any kind of infection before. should I be worried about going into preterm labor? I ve been having severe back pain and at my last doctor visit I had lost 2lbs. I m not hungry anymore but I force myself to eat, my doctor doesn t seem at all worried about this....

Hi,
The high white blood cell count in urine is suggestive of infection.
It may initiate preterm labour. If i were your doctor I would do urine culture sensitivity test and treat accordingly.
Take multivitamins and try eating the foods you like. Sometimes anemia, urinary infection itself can decrease the appetite. Do a blood test and see if you are anaemic. Don't worry much about this loss of weight as long as baby's growth is normal.
If you have any further concerns do contact me through Healthcare Magic.
