Does Having Intercourse With A Partner Having Herpes Cause Infection?

Hi I ve had sex with a female with herpes I have chronic kidney disease, received a transplant last August and am now on sirolimus. My immune system is weakened in order for my body to accept my new kidney. Will continuing my relationship damage my new kidney? Thank you

Thanks for contacting HCM.
I have gone through your query,You had a kidney transplantation and you are on immunosuppressive drugs.These drugs suppress your immune system in order to prevent rejection of your transplanted kidney.That means you have a weakened immune system that may fail to combat invading pathogens.
So you have a very low level immunity and even a trivial iinfection may cause serious outcomes in your body.You may even lose your new kidney.
I'm of the opinion that you should avoid these relationships,And try to keep good personal hygiene also.
