Does gallbladder polyps have chance to be cancerous?
I am a 45yr. woman with 2 gallbladder polyps that were diagnosed in a ultrasound checkup accidentally for over a year and a half now.one is in the anterior wall and the other on the posterior wall.largest measure is 8X6mm.Do I need surgery?How can I be sure it is not cancer ?

Yes, but this is rare. Some features of possible malignancy may be seen on ultrasound but Ct scan should be done for more accurate diagnosis. Also, for any polyps it is recommended to do cholecystectomy.
