Does Food Poisoning Cause Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain?

I experienced very sudden and severe abdominal pain accompanied by diarrhea and profuse sweating about 2.5-3 hours after eating out...beef brisket and coleslaw. I also felt like I might vomit, but never did. I had NO other symptoms, and felt fine before that. The acute symptoms lasted approximately 3 hours. I am staying hydrated and feel tired but ok now. Could this have been a mild case of food poisoning?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, possibility of mild food poisoning is more likely.
Coleslaw if not prepared well, can cause infection and food poisoning.
So better to avoid such food in future.
Drink plenty of fluids orally including oral rehydration solution (ORS).
Also start probiotic drug and zinc tablet.
Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 2-3 days.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
