Does Flucloxicacillin Cause Pain In Groin With Inguinal Ligament Damage?

Does flucloxicacillin cause inguinal ligament damage. My husband took them for a toe infection and within days was in extreme pain in the groin/testicle area which also radiated down his thigh. Waiting for an orthopaedic assessment but the pain is wearing him out.

Hello,

There are no evidence-based studies that flucloxacillin can cause inguinal ligament damage.

This antibiotic can cause nausea or diarrhea as common side effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
