Does Exposing Vivotif To Light Spoil It?

I picked up a prescription for VIVOTIF 4 days ago and I was not informed that it should be refrigerated. Consequently, the (unopened) package containing the prescription sat on my desk until I took my first dose a few minutes ago. It was not exposed to light, but it was at room temperature (it s in the refrigerator now). Did allowing the vaccine to warm to room temperature cause a problem?

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.
If your VIVOTIF was outside refrigerator more then 24 hours and the room temperature was also more then 25digreec C than it must not be used as it may not be effective.

Indirect light for a brief time will not affect the vaccine ans compromise the efficiency of the medication.
So you don't need to worry you have not exposed the vaccine for longer time to raised temperature.

Hope my answer will help you.
