Does Excessive Vaginal Discharge With Occasional Blood Have Anything To Do With Breastfeeding?

When I urinated earlier today I had a lot of discharge and a small amount of red vein like blood on the discharge. I am currently breastfeeding my 14 month old and my period has not returned since having her. My husband and I had intercourse 7 days ago and I believe I was ovulating at the time. Could I be pregnant?

Hi, thanks for using HCM.

Average return of menses for women is 14 months after childbirth, with some reports being as soon as 2 months while others are as late as 42 months.
Although the first post-partum cycle is sometimes anovulatory, subsequent cycles are almost always ovulatory and therefore must be considered fertile.
Get Urine pregnancy test done to confirm or rule out pregnancy.
Some amount of white discharge is normal, Excess discharge needs to be evaluated for genital infections.
Consult gynecologist and get examined.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
