Does Estrogen Cause Pancreatic Divisum?

6 months ago I started taking estrogen (estradiol). Two weeks ago I had a pancreatic attack. My doctor had me stop the estrogen. We did ultrasound, hida scan, and MRI. Hida scan & MRI indicates pancreatic divisum. Could the estrogen have caused this?

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Estrogen does not cause pancreas divisum.
Pancreas divisum is a congenital anomaly which means it is present since birth and is due to improper development of pancreas.

I hope that answers your question.
